Portland, the City of Roses, is home to much more than coffee, beer and a red hot NBA team. It’s a city full of talented, hard working people that utilize their skills to design and create things – websites, art, products, spaces, and more. Once a year for an entire week, this community comes together to celebrate all things design. Appropriately named Design Week Portland, the 3rd installment took place October 4th through the 11th and Daylight happily played a part.
Each quadrant of the city – Southwest, Northwest, North/Northeast and Southeast – had its own day for businesses to open up their doors, welcome the community, and showcase what they build. We saw our DWP Open House as the perfect opportunity to showcase a website and brand launch project Daylight did for JVR Spirits and Krupnik.
What is Krupnik you ask?
If the bottle above is not enough to entice you, Krupnik is a delicious, spiced honey liqueur inspired by Polish tradition. JVR Spirits, founded by Vince Radostitz, recently launched this new product out of a family recipe, a dream, and help from New Deal Distillery.
The tastings and cocktails were a hit, plus Vince himself was on hand to meet and talk to our guests about his new venture. With more promotional events coming soon, JVR Spirits has a bright future. We encourage you to visit the JVR Spirits website where you can view a calendar of their upcoming events and find out which OLCC liqueur store near you offers Krupnik (hint: if it doesn’t, then special order it!).
The Daylight open house was also timed perfectly with the expansion of our office. After acquiring the space next door, and some construction to knock down part of the wall, we now have double the space to work and play. We had a great time meeting some of our fellow neighbors in the East Bank Commerce Center and showcasing other projects of ours. We thank everyone for stopping by!
Update: Daylight will once again be joining in the festivities for Design Week Portland 2017. We’re hosting an open house to showcase designer and client Bob Smith with his brand new sportswear line OreCal. Check out details here.
