Lucy grew up in China and left to pursue a Linguistics degree at Western Oregon University, as well as M.S. in ESOL/Bilingual Education. Her educational background empowered her learning capability; with a dream in her heart, she began self-studying through online coding tutorials. In 2016, she decided to go back to school to pursue a degree in Computer Science.
She believes that it’s never too late, and she’s proud of her career as a Web Developer. Outside of work, she loves getting creative in the kitchen, playing piano, and discovering nature.
What motivates you to succeed in your job?
I love breaking things down and learning new tools and methods. Web development is a universe where I can create interesting things, gain satisfaction by solving problems and helping clients, as well as learn and apply new tools to be more professional and productive.
What is the most valuable tip you’ve received about your career?
Respectful communication plays an important role in my career. Being honest and seeking help are two important tips that I use to communicate and collaborate with my teams.

Tasty! I love creative cooking (which can turn out either good or bad ^-^), and I get cooking inspirations by using the Tasty app.
