With over eight years of marketing experience, Molly Brown is responsible for market research and planning, business development, community outreach, Daylight culture, and marketing coordination. Molly considers building relationships in business to be her greatest passion and gift. She believes that it is vitally important to “live” one’s brand and to allow that process to flow into the culture of a business. How a brand works alongside the core values and principles of a company create the foundations of how that organization can live within and strengthen its community, partners, and customers. When Molly leaves the office, she’s generally biking, hiking, or walking around exploring Portland’s extensive offerings of food and drink with her husband and Mr. Cooper, her dog. Otherwise, she’s camped-out around the kitchen table with friends, discussing dragon-slaying at their weekly Dungeon & Dragons game.
What is the most valuable tip you’ve received about your career?
Fight for your happiness and don’t become complacent. Take time to appreciate your success but strive to find the vulnerabilities in your skills and strengthen them.
When you’re not working, you are probably?
Walking our monster dog or taking myself to the gym. If the weather is unpleasant, one can find me curled up, under half a dozen blankets on my couch binging on the next new awesome show, playing D&D with friends, or trying out new taco spots with my husband!
Where do you go to escape Portlandia?
Depending on the amount of sun I need, I’ll jump on a flight to Phoenix to visit friends. If I need soul energizing, I have brothers in Idaho and Montana, so we routinely meet in the middle to hang out, eat, drink, and cry from laughing too hard.
