Scott grew up in Wyoming and left to pursue a fine arts degree in the Pacific Northwest. After graduating, he dabbled in design and part-time retail jobs before returning to school to study web design and development. Scott loves working with clients and has done so both as a freelancer and in an agency setting. Outside of Daylight, he still pursues his passion for art with a focus on comics. When he’s not creating, you might find him camping or hiking with his wife and dog or just watching a baseball game. He’s also been known to play some guitar and mandolin from time to time.
What motivates you to succeed at your job?
Creating experiences that our clients and their customers and users will be able to use to achieve their goals. I’m excited to learn new things that improve our process either as a developer or our agency as a whole.
What is the most valuable tip you’ve ever given or received about your career?
If you don’t know something, ask. The primary way I’ve learned is by reaching out to my peers and collaborating. Don’t pretend to know everything and be aware of what you don’t know so that you can work with your team to find solutions together.
Favorite Portland eatery?
I’m not telling because then it will get too crowded there.
