Piet van Zoen develops Daylight designs into high-functioning websites using a combination of programming experience and years of work with Legos. We think the Legos are why he excels at creating clear site structure and elegant code. Originally from England, Piet now calls Portland home, after visiting two years ago and meeting the woman who became his wife. He drinks tea, not coffee, and knows how to make a perfect boiled egg. When he’s not working, he enjoys Portland’s music scene and plays bass and drums.

Following five years in New York, Anna Gillespie returned to her hometown of Portland and joined the Daylight team as project manager. In her role at Daylight, Anna leverages her experience in project management, client services and marketing, providing excellent communication, support, and planning for every project that Daylight takes on. Outside of the office, Anna can be found hiking a mountain, at the dog park with her pup Samson or exploring Portland's music scene. She may or may not be planning a coup to gain the title of "resident office DJ".

Jonathan Lee designs and develops Daylight sites with a craftsman’s touch and an artist’s eye. He specializes in bringing new custom functionality to client projects using FUEL CMS. Before bringing his talents to Daylight, Jonathan spent more than 10 years developing for clients such as Intel, Oregon Children’s Theater, the City of Los Angeles and ReachLocal. When he’s not working, he explores Portland’s incredible food cart scene by bicycle and loves being with his family.

David McReynolds leads Daylight’s application development services. He’s been working in Web application development and design for more than 13 years. David is also the creator and main developer behind our open source content management platform, FUEL CMS. When he’s not working, he plays basketball and pretends to golf. He lives in Portland with his wife, two little girls and a dog named Avery.

Since founding Daylight in 2002, Shawn Mann has led the studio’s design practice, client services, and creative strategy. He works to make sure that the brands and people who work with Daylight get what they want, understand what they need, and are happy with the results. In addition to the work, Shawn enjoys asserting his creative leadership as resident office DJ, playing guitar and casually dropping movie quotes into everyday conversations. He lives in Portland with his wife, three sons, four chickens and a black lab named Cash (as in the "Man in Black").
