If fortune is measured by experience, Jason’s personal and professional background is spilling over with loot. Trawler fishing in the Bering Sea, helming a 300ft research vessel through the Panama Canal, living abroad in the Bavarian Alps and recently spending a few magical years in Montana. Through all the travel though, the PNW has always held a special place for him, especially Portland. When not on the digital clock, depending on swells, hatches, chromers, stimp-meters, and immersion circulating, you’ll find him outside with good people seeking good fun.
When you’re not working, you are probably?
Probably on a river mending a fly line, or chasing a small ball across a golf course.
Where do you take first-time Portland visitors?
Advising first-timers to visit during the summer: breakfast at the PSU farmers market, then the Japanese Garden followed by a round of Spanish coffees at Hubers.
What is on your work music playlist?
Currently, the Donkeys, Run the Jewels and Fat Freddy’s Drop.
