If fortune is measured by experience, my personal and professional background is spilling over with loot… trawler fishing in the Bering Sea, helming a 300ft research vessel through the Panama Canal, living abroad in the Bavarian Alps and recently spending a few magical years in Montana. Through all the travel though, the PNW has always held a special place for me, especially Portland. When not on the digital clock, depending on swells, hatches, chromers, stimpmeters, and immersion circulating, you’ll find me outside with good people seeking good fun.
When you’re not working, you are probably?
Probably on a river mending a fly line, or chasing a small ball across a golf course.
Where do you take first-time Portland visitors?
Advising first-timers to visit during the summer: breakfast at the PSU farmers market, then the Japanese Garden followed by a round of Spanish coffees at Hubers.
What is on your work music playlist?
Currently, the Donkeys, Run the Jewels and Fat Freddy’s Drop.
