In the past 6 months, we’ve added many members to the Daylight team! Thanks to our wonderful (and expanding) pool of clients, we’re growing and making talented additions to our staff.
Dan Gonzalez
In January we welcomed Dan Gonzalez as our newest front-end developer. Dan’s knack for translating client and designer visions and enigmatic charm make him a cherished member of our team.
Dan grew up in Oregon and went to two “non-traditional” colleges to study film and photography, but came out making websites. He’s traveled around the digital world as a freelancer, kickstarted a creative company, and worked for a global branding agency. His desire to hone his digital craft, creating elegant tech solutions brought him to Daylight - and we’re so glad he’s here. Dan is a man of the wilderness, and enjoys spending time outdoors, woodworking, racing bikes, and bonding with his dog Willis.
Erika Osurman
Erika joined Daylight in March as our new office manager, handling staff support, HR, administrative and billing functions. Her background in aesthetics, storytelling and culture - along with her sharp organizational skills - make her a great fit at Daylight.
Erika grew up in Iowa, then moved to the island of Oahu where she studied at an international university, enjoyed relaxing on the beach, climbed mountains, and gained experience managing office environments. She is a recent transplant to Portland, drawn to the city’s expansive creative environment and quirky vibe. In her free time, Erika volunteers at local art museums, collects vinyl records, and challenges her husband to cooking competitions.
Brandon Hafer
April brought Daylight a new junior designer! Brandon Hafer joined us initially as a part-time contractor, but we just couldn’t get enough. Brandon’s refined crafting of interactive projects, unique artistic eye, and zen demeanor make him an enjoyable and valuable asset to the Daylight team.
Brandon was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. He’s a kind of big deal musician and has toured with his band full-time. Fortunately for Daylight, fast food and poorly lit bars just weren’t for him. Between creating visual and musical masterpieces, hiking in lightning and hail storms through Alpine meadows and lava rock fields, and going to guitar building school, Brandon picked up savvy design skills and landed in Portland. In his time away from the office, Brandon enjoys gardening, doing yoga, listening to and making live music, and spending time with his girlfriend.
Alex Peerenboom
The Daylight team rejoiced when Alex Peerenboom joined us in May. We’ve worked with Alex in the past and are ecstatic to have him to ourselves full-time. Alex’s speciality is digital strategy and he is spearheading social media and SEO for clients - and for Daylight! He’ll be helping past, current, and future clients to expand their success online beyond the launch of their site.
Alex is a true blue, born and raised Oregonian. Of his world travels, Oregon holds rank as one of the weirdest places he’s been and also dearest to his heart as home. He once lived in Cologne, Germany where he found his favorite beer of all beers, and enjoyed frequent travels to London. Here in Portland, Alex lives with his Norwegian Forest catdog named Monty. Alex is a major sports fan (Go Ducks! Blazers! Timbers!) and took tae kwon-do until he was 16. He enjoys cooking and drinking fine beer/spirits, and looks forward to planning more future travels.
While we love having a small and tight-knit group, we’re excited to make our small group just a little bit bigger with some fantastic people.
